This time of the year when i can finally settle down n have some mood for lesson,
The lesson just ends.. today marks the last day in sch before the reading week starts
Its always so funny. Everytime when i can almost get the feel of studying.. like i begin to appreciate the lesson
and see some lights about what the lecturer is talking about in this whole sem...
exam will come... then i have no mood for exam..
cos for me.. i am just getting to know what the syllubus is about...
its just so unmotivating..
then i have to begin mugging... i think sch term is just too short.. y dun they make a term like for a year...
I get the sch fees worth.. hehehe..
Still have to type out a memo later... eeeeee .....
Never ending work from ES....
Ever since the last lec of ss... i begin to wonder if i am a feminist.... hahaa.... U know y ah.... ( private joke)
I question so many things.... about the norms... and what female have to do.. hahah..
But what interest me is that being feminist is not about being man.... As in when women wanted the same recognition as men.. It is not always the physical side where we also wanted to serve army as they did....
All these are the frames that the media had impose on us..
This is not the case....
Cos from what i interpret from the lec.... feminism is about fighting against the social role that had been imposed on us.. the innate discrimination that exist..
Maybe due to the fact that we need our population to be working... (even woman as well)
therefore singaporean women dun feel that discriminated..
We have an equal chance to access education based on the meritocracy model... and all other things...
Have u ever wonder woman here are not discriminated cos we cannot afford to.. Its not that we do not want to....
women are needed to come out and work and contribute to the GDP.. haha...
What other things are we really deprived of ?
When we spoke of equality... What does it means? same as man? no i dun think so.....
But more of the social roles that we assumed and not deprived of any chances to gain access to most of the things..
N its not about being a man...
So how feminist are you?
By the way "discrepancy" is a postitve or negative word?
Cant figure it out....
